Microsoft Research’s Photosynth technology can use tagged photos of a landmark to automatically generate a 3d visualization. Very cool!
It will be amazing when we can watch these immersive, virtual spaces construct themselves. Eventually, I hope we will be able to use this technology to create places that don’t exist in the real world, by taking an architectural style from one, a few elements from others, and POW!
